Notable Signatures: Digital Daggers (Space and Andrea Wasse)
Tonight, I got the both of them to sign my index card after their set at The Viper Room in West Hollywood, CA. I'm very happy to add Digital Daggers as part of my collection as they are such an amazing band. Several of their songs have been featured on a range of television shows ("Pretty Little Liars", "MTV's Teen Wolf", "CSI: NY", "Nikita", "Degrassi: In Too Deep", "The Vampire Dairies", "Unforgettable"), films ("The Roommate"), and even commercials for video games ("Crysis 2"); their first full-length album is set to be released in the near future and I'm super stoked to hear it.I've been telling Andrea that I've been saving a special place in my collection next to my Alan Rickman autograph for the day that I finally got their signatures. Well, if you're reading this Ms. Wasse, I've delivered on my promise! :-)
I picked up this signed Sara Bareilles booklet through Newbury Comics which sells many autographed CDs they receive directly from the artists' labels. I'll most likely buy through them again because not only do you get the album (sealed) but the autographed booklets come separate so you don't have to sacrifice the one that comes with the disc. Plus they are only a few dollars more than the unsigned retail prices at stores.
On January 22, 2012, Chris Carrabba performed a solo acoustic Dashboard Confessional show at The Glass House in Pomona, CA. Over the past ten years, I've been fortunate enough to see Dashboard Confessional play live many times in multiple states (both as Chris playing solo and with a full band) and a large number of those shows were at The Glass House (including the infamous show were Chris cut his hand on a guitar string and ended the set after about three songs).Good times I've had watching Mr. Carrabba spill his guts on stage. Good times. :-)

On December 10, 2011 the band celebrated the tenth anniversary of their album, Start Static, with a show at Chain Reaction in Anaheim, CA. The show also featured the one-night return of their original drummer, Ben Davis, who had left the band in 2003. Unfortunately, the tickets sold out before I could get mine, but I ended up sending an index card to the venue anyway. In addition to getting the index card back signed by the original line-up, they also included a Sugarcult branded guitar pick. Here's a picture of the pick:

This is actually an older item that I've had in my possession for the past six years. After a friend of Tooth & Nail Records lost her home in Hurricane Katrina, the label put items autographed by their artists up for sale on eBay to raise money. I ended up purchasing this skateboard deck and an autographed Underoath poster (which I gave to my friend for her birthday that year).
